Manifestelle
About the Project
Elle Ray, aka “Manifestelle” is an online content creator and influencer offering personal development content, courses, and dating advice for women in their 20s and up. Her content empowers women to understand their inherent value, put themselves first, and “manifest” the life of their dreams.

Project Goals
Elle’s brand personality is confident, self-assured, and playful. She targets a younger demographic of primarily Gen Z and millennial women. Because of this, the visual branding and overall messaging needed a slightly younger skew.
Overall, the goal was to achieve a vibe of “effortless confidence and femininity.”
The Manifestelle brand is all about embracing the feminine while exercising discernment, so there was an intentional effort to balance the rigid lines with more fluid elements. To achieve this, the primary logo combines a chic and sophisticated font with effortless feminine curves.
Elle’s branding also aligns with more muted visuals to match the effortless and carefree brand personality, so we opted for a muted color palette with minimalist typography.

A twinkling motif was weaved into the letter “i” to tie in the magical concept of “manifestation.” This symbol is carried into the logo mark as well.
Elle frequently uses catchphrases such as “Bestie, wake up” and “Get that bag.” These were turned into stickers for use throughout social media and other content. The stickers were turned into a brand pattern for use in digital and print applications.

The muted color palette is incorporated here through social media.

When developing the website and brand, we used Elle’s “spoiled girlie” catchphrase as our main inspiration.
In her content, Elle recommends that women take up #richgirlhobbies such as tennis, golf, or sailing. It’s an aspirational lifestyle in which one can enjoy a game of tennis on a Tuesday without a care in the world. Drawing from that, as well as Elle’s humorous and casual tone, we settled on an image of “satirized luxury” for the site’s home page. The hero image is a dramatic take on the audience being asleep (a throwback to Elle’s own “bestie, wake up” catchphrase).
The second piece of inspiration came from fashion magazines, a quintessential part of any young girl’s entrance into womanhood. In a sense, Manifestelle is the modern-day version of “Cosmo” or “Vogue,” where women historically went to seek relationship advice, lifestyle tips, and general guidance. We played off that idea throughout the design of the site with barcode-inspired links, bold tabloid-esque headlines, and an editorial-style layout.
Finally, we kept the content easy to navigate and consume with a simple one-page design. Sections are clearly defined and serve as a hub to organize all of Elle’s free and paid offers. Visitors can quickly learn what Elle is all about, catch up on any content they missed, and follow a carefully laid-out journey that converts them into email list subscribers and eventually paid course buyers.
