About

Goodies is a vibrant and playful perfume brand that offers delicious scents you just want to taste! Whether it’s the tart freshness of a lemon or the comforting warmth of vanilla, Goodies’ fragrances smell like something you could eat and are designed to make you smile and smell delicious at the same time.

The Goals

As an emerging fragrance brand, Goodies needed a complete custom brand identity full of vibrance, youth, and nostalgia to connect with its millennial and gen z target audience. To match the food-inspired nature of the brand, they wanted custom packaging that could not only blur the line between food and fragrance, but do so in a mature way.

Goodies also needed a bold and immersive website to communicate the brand’s themes of yummy scents, feel-good vibes, inclusion, and fun. Our aim was to make the site easy to navigate while not sacrificing the brand’s fun and quirky personality.

Primary Logo

The rounded sans serif font is clean and sophisticated while leaning into the brand’s fun side. We added movement and playfulness with jumbled letters, recurring rounded o’s (reminiscent of inspired by cakes, cookies, pies–all the yummy treats the brand embodies), Pacman-inspired silhouettes. These subtle cues are both nostalgic and easily recognizable for the brand’s target audience.

Submark

The logo mark is a pared-down version of the main design, borrowing just the initial ‘g’ and taking a bite mark out of it. Every variation provides a subtle reminder of the scrumptious scents Goodies sells.

Product Packaging

The actual fragrance box is petite and portable, almost like a package of gum or mints. This lends to the overall “food” packaging feel. Several of these are designed to fit inside one larger “Goodies” box–gift sets for example.

Packaging Variations

Goodies perfumes come in a variety of different scents. To keep up with their growing product line, we developed the packaging in multiple colors, which can be adapted as new scents are introduced.

Novelty Packaging

For the main packaging, we imagined a “box of goodies” resembling the packaging you might find at a bakery. The side of the box also features a “Perfume Facts” label reminiscent of the “Nutrition Facts” labels normally seen on food.

Because the brand promotes sustainability as well, the “Perfume Facts” feature recycling instructions so customers can responsibly discard their Goodies after use.

Each Goodies box also includes a “How to Enjoy” insert, which details how customers can make the most of their “Goodies” fragrances.

Social Media

We put together a suite of social media graphics and templates to simplify the content creation process. We went for ultra bright colors and quotable taglines to keep the brand fun, engaging, and ultra sharable on social media platforms.

Custom Branding and Websites by LitBrand Studio

Website Design

The hero section is an immediate burst of nostalgia, color, and scrumptious visuals. This imagery paired with the hero copy “Scents you want to eat” aims to quickly grab your attention and communicate what the brand is all about.

Pops of color are used to showcase the brand’s featured products immediately, and we added fun CTAs such as “Gimme the goods” and “Explore the goods” to play up the brand’s unique voice. We maintained this playful and cheeky tone throughout the site, as well as the other brand materials.

We also leaned into the “food packaging” concept, using actual images of food inside perfume bottle sketches. This adds a bit of quirkiness to the brand, showing they’re not afraid to blur the line between reality and imagination.

Finally, menus are kept minimal so users aren’t overloaded with information. Careful attention was paid to how users will navigate the site. For instance, returning users might want to jump straight into the featured scents. However, new customers may be interested in trying samples first. This structure gives the site direction and keeps the brand looking clean and professional.

Asked & Answered

How long does a branding or website project take?

While timing may vary between projects, most banding or website projects take at least 6-8 weeks to complete. This allows us to take our time creating comprehensive solutions for your biz that will actually move the needle.

Projects are typically scheduled 2-3 months in advance, so reach out to us for a consultation if you’re considering a rebrand or new website.

*Note: If you need both branding and website services, expect an 8-12 week turnaround time.

Do I need branding before creating my website?

The short answer is yes. Before we can create a website that’s consistent with the rest of your brand, you’ll need to have established branding with the following assets:

  • Logo Suite (primary logo + variations)
  • Color Palette
  • Typography
  • Style Guidelines

If you need a website but don’t already have branding, we can help. You can hire us to do your branding first with a custom branding package.

If you already have all the above assets from another designer, we can use them to build your custom website with a website package.

Do I need to hire my own copywriter?

Copywriting is typically included in our website packages. However, if you would like to use your own copywriter, we can collaborate with them during the design process instead.

We may also offer copywriting services separately as needed. Please inquire about this service on a per-project basis.

What platform do you use for website builds?

We specialize in WordPress and Shopify builds, choosing the right platform based on your specific business needs and goals.

WordPress is perfect for service providers, content-heavy websites (blogs, courses, webinars), and businesses that need custom functionality and flexibility. Shopify is our go-to for e-commerce focused businesses, especially those with affiliate partnerships, subscription models, or plans to scale their product offerings. Both platforms give us the freedom to create custom solutions tailored to how your business actually operates.

How does payment work?

We collect a 50% deposit before the project begins. The remaining balance is split into two milestone payments: 25% at the midpoint and 25% upon final delivery. Alternate payment plans are also available upon request.

We accept all major credit cards and ACH bank transfers.

How will we communicate during our project?

Our initial meeting will take place via Google Meet. After this, meetings will only be necessary to clarify project details (i.e. revision requests, project approval, etc.).

Generally, all other communications will be sent via email.

Once your project is booked, you will also gain access to our Client Portal. This is where you can see all relevant information related to your project, including shared documents, invoices, contracts, and more.

What file types do you deliver?

You will receive files in the following file formats as needed:

  • Logos: SVG, PNG, JPG, EPS, Ai
  • Packaging & Print: EPS, Ai, PDF
  • Presentations: PDF
  • Website Mockups: Figma file, PDF
  • Copy assets: Google Doc file, PDF
