About

Riot Room is an unapologetic concept interior design studio that creates personality-packed commercial spaces for businesses ready to ditch boring floorplans. Founded by designer Zoe Kim, the studio specializes in bold, vibrant environments that make customers linger, employees smile more, and everyone remember the experience long after they leave. From cafés to co-working spaces, Riot Room transforms everyday business environments into memorable, Instagram-worthy experiences.

The Goals

Custom web design for interior design studios requires understanding both aesthetics and strategic positioning. The challenge was creating a brand identity for an interior designer that could command premium pricing while attracting business clients who understand the strategic value of bold design. We needed to position The Riot Room as the sophisticated choice for companies ready to use their physical space as a marketing tool. Our goal was to develop a complete brand system that would differentiate from both traditional commercial designers and trendy residential studios, establishing Zoe as the go-to expert for businesses that want to be remembered.

Primary Logo

Riot Room’s primary wordmark embodies the studio’s rebellious-yet-structured philosophy through bold typography paired with playful hand-drawn elements. The clean, geometric letterforms communicate professionalism and credibility, while the organic squiggles adds an unexpected twist, as if to say “yeah, we break the rules, but we know what we’re doing.” The vibrant coral red was chosen to immediately signal energy and confidence—this isn’t a studio that whispers.

Submark

The “RR” monogram maintains the brand’s playful energy in a more compact format, perfect for social media and smaller applications. The contrast between structured and illustrated elements perfectly embody Zoe’s strategic and creative approach.

Custom Website Design for an Interior Design Studio

We created a professional portfolio website that effectively communicates Riot Room’s unique positioning in the commercial design market. The clean layout and structured content organization allow potential clients to quickly understand Zoe’s expertise. Meanwhile, the bold visual elements demonstrate her design capabilities firsthand. From the confident brand messaging to the curated project showcase, every element works to establish credibility while differentiating from traditional interior design portfolios.

Studio Highlights

We created a section dedicated to highlighting Riot Room’s philosophy while also spotlighting some of their latest projects. This serves to demonstrate the studio’s range across different commercial sectors while reinforcing their positioning as designers who create spaces that drive business results. The layout allows potential clients to quickly scan project types and locations, establishing international credibility and expertise in bold commercial design.

Strategic Portfolio Website

We created a complete website experience that establishes Riot Room’s authority in commercial design while making it easy for prospects to understand their unique value proposition. Users are guided through the website, from bold introductions to markers of credibility like press coverage and global project experience, all culminating in clear next steps for potential clients.

The result is a website that works as a 24/7 sales tool, pre-qualifying prospects and building confidence before they ever reach out. The combination of striking visuals, personality-driven content, and business-focused messaging attracts the right clients—established businesses who see design as an investment rather than a cost. By the time prospects scroll through the complete experience, they’re not just impressed by the work. They understand exactly how Riot Room can help their business stand out in competitive markets.

Asked & Answered

While timing may vary between projects, most banding or website projects take at least 6-8 weeks to complete. This allows us to take our time creating comprehensive solutions for your biz that will actually move the needle.

Projects are typically scheduled 2-3 months in advance, so reach out to us for a consultation if you’re considering a rebrand or new website.

*Note: If you need both branding and website services, expect an 8-12 week turnaround time.

The short answer is yes. Before we can create a website that’s consistent with the rest of your brand, you’ll need to have established branding with the following assets:

  • Logo Suite (primary logo + variations)
  • Color Palette
  • Typography
  • Style Guidelines

If you need a website but don’t already have branding, we can help. You can hire us to do your branding first with a custom branding package.

If you already have all the above assets from another designer, we can use them to build your custom website with a website package.

Copywriting is typically included in our website packages. However, if you would like to use your own copywriter, we can collaborate with them during the design process instead.

We may also offer copywriting services separately as needed. Please inquire about this service on a per-project basis.

We specialize in WordPress and Shopify builds, choosing the right platform based on your specific business needs and goals.

WordPress is perfect for service providers, content-heavy websites (blogs, courses, webinars), and businesses that need custom functionality and flexibility. Shopify is our go-to for e-commerce focused businesses, especially those with affiliate partnerships, subscription models, or plans to scale their product offerings. Both platforms give us the freedom to create custom solutions tailored to how your business actually operates.

We collect a 50% deposit before the project begins. The remaining balance is split into two milestone payments: 25% at the midpoint and 25% upon final delivery. Alternate payment plans are also available upon request.

We accept all major credit cards and ACH bank transfers.

Our initial meeting will take place via Google Meet. After this, meetings will only be necessary to clarify project details (i.e. revision requests, project approval, etc.).

Generally, all other communications will be sent via email.

Once your project is booked, you will also gain access to our Client Portal. This is where you can see all relevant information related to your project, including shared documents, invoices, contracts, and more.

You will receive files in the following file formats as needed:

  • Logos: SVG, PNG, JPG, EPS, Ai
  • Packaging & Print: EPS, Ai, PDF
  • Presentations: PDF
  • Website Mockups: Figma file, PDF
  • Copy assets: Google Doc file, PDF
